- Cornell Cooperative Extension -- Dedicated to sustainability and vitality of local agricultural resources, protecting and enhancing the environment, promoting personal health and wellness through food safety, disease and risk prevention. The local extension office can be reached at 461-1000 and is located at 249 Highland Avenue, Rochester, 14620.
- U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) -- Structures its services and programs around the mission of ensuring a safe, affordable food supply through responsible land use and rural development.
- U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) -- Although their site is geared mostly to health isues, the FDA does provide information on food and agricultural safety in addition to regulating feed quality and drug use in livestock and pets.
