  • Art History Research Centre - The AHRC is the first and foremost tool for art historical research on the internet. It shares key resources and methods of online research so that art historians can find the resources relevant to their work. This site provides access to article indexes, art university web sites, and art collections.

 

  • CGFA - an index of artists and periods.

 

 

  • The Art Icons Directory - This site offers explanations of many artistic movements. Although it is a UK site, art movements throughout the world are explained, such as the US Ashcan School. Includes art masters index, other art resources and kids art.

 

 

  • Folk Art Society of America - A non-profit organization which advocates the discovery, study, documentation, preservation and exhibition of folk art, folk artists and folk art environments.

 

 

  • Timeline of Art History - The Timeline of Art History provides an overview of the history of art as illustrated and represented in the Museum's collection. The material presented here has been researched, written, and reviewed by the Museum's curatorial staff.
