Nichiren School

  • Soka Gakkai International - The Soka Gakkai International (SGI) is a worldwide association of 76 constituent organizations with membership in over 156 countries and territories. In the service of its members and society at large, SGI centers its activities on developing the positive human potentialities for individual happiness and for global peace and prosperity. The breadth and focus of its mission derive from the philosophy and practice of Nichiren Buddhism.

 

  • Soka Gakkai USA - The Soka Gakkai was founded in Japan in 1930 and has developed into an international organization, Soka Gakkai International (SGI), with members in more than 156 countries. Soka is a Japanese word meaning value creation, Gakkai means society. The SGI-USA is an American Buddhist organization whose mission is to contribute to peace, culture and education based on the philosophy and ideals of the Buddhism of Nichiren.

 

Pure Land ( Shin ) School
