  • Music Publishers Association - Web site for information provided by the Music Publishers' Association about music publishing, copyright laws, editorial standards, and the correct use of printed music.  Also contains a guide to copyright searching.

 

  • ASCAP - Searchable database of all compositions in the ASCAP repertory which have appeared in any of ASCAP's domestic surveys, including foreign compositions licensed by ASCAP in the United States.

 

  • BMI HYPER-REPERTOIRE - an internet song title database for publisher information on songs licensed by BMI.

 

 

  • U.S. Copyright Office - Search records of registered books, music, art, and periodicals, and other works. Includes copyright ownership documents.
